Attention GER²I Summer Youth Attendees:
Thank you to all students and their families who registered for 2020 GER²I summer youth programs as well as to all individuals who were planning to teach or counsel in these programs. Unfortunately, due to the national emergency surrounding transmission of Covid-19, we have elected to cancel our youth programs for summer 2020. Doing so will contribute to efforts to stem the spread of this disease. Since inception of GER²I youth programs in 1979, we have never cancelled, but we believe this year it is important to do so. Be safe, stay well, and we hope to see you in 2021 youth programs.

Super Saturday $75,000 Main Event The Main Event goes at 7:05 PM ET on Saturday, February 6th with a Super-sized prize pool of $75,000 guaranteed. 2021 Virtual Spring Super Saturday

GER²I’s 2021 Virtual Super Saturday program provides learning experiences that explore advanced material and develop critical and creative thinking. We offer a caregiver-child format for children in PreK – 5^th grades so caregivers can spend quality time and gain experience working with their children. This is required. The participation of caregivers of students in 6^th – 12^th grades is not required, but parents are invited to our parent interest sessions.

Spring Super Saturday is a popular enrichment program designed to meet the needs of academically, creatively, and artistically gifted students from age four (prekindergarten) through twelfth grade. We offer an ever-changing variety of courses in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, visual and performing arts, and original interdisciplinary studies. Students choose their own classes on a first-come, first-served basis.

Who is eligible for the Spring Super Saturday?

Everyone in Pre-K through 12^th grade!

When and where?

2021 Virtual Spring Super Saturday will take place on four consecutive Saturdays in February of 2021, which will be on Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27. Saturday sessions start from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

All the classes will be held through Zoom.

What’s new in 2021 Virtual Spring Super Saturday

During the program days, there are several sessions of affective learning workshops to meet students’ social and emotional needs. Theme-based speeches delivered by experts in gifted education will be held during Parents’ Talk time.

The list and directions for collecting some household items needed for the class will be provided, which need parents to prepare well before the class begins.
If any classes are canceled due to insufficient enrollment, students will be contacted.

When and where?

2020 Class will run for six consecutive Saturdays, from February 1^st — March 7^th. Saturday sessions start 9 a.m. and end 12 p.m. Most classes are held in Beering Hall, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Fall Super Saturday

Fall Super Saturday 2.02 is a recently updated format of our long-running Super Saturday program.

Fall Super Saturday 2.02 is a family-oriented program designed to meet the needs of academically, creatively, and artistically talented children from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Each child, along with a parent/guardian/grandparent/caring adult, will attend one day of challenging, hands-on activities related to a central theme. The content of the STEM focused courses is at least two grade levels above each child’s current grade level. The children will explore concepts and ideas in the STEM related fields, while parents/adults gain experience working with open-ended activities that require critical and creative thinking.

Who is eligible for the Fall Super Saturday?

Everyone in Pre K through 5^th grade!

When and where?

Fall Super Saturday 2.02 will take place October 5^th and 12^th, 2019. Saturday sessions start 9 a.m. and the end time varies for the different grade levels.

Most classes are held in Beering Hall, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana

All supplies needed for the class will be provided.
Fall Super Saturday 2.02 has never been cancelled due to weather. However, if it does need to be cancelled, we will notify all parents via email. We will also place a notice on our website.
If any classes are canceled due to insufficient enrollment, students will be contacted.

Classes are designed to meet the needs of academically, creatively, and artistically talented children from PreK through 12^th grade so class content will be at least two academic grade levels above the child’s current school grade level. The Fall program is an opportunity for children to explore advanced material and develop critical and creative thinking skills while spending quality time with their caregivers, who gain experience working with their children.

Who is eligible for the 2020 Virtual Fall Super Saturday?

Everyone in Pre-K through 12^th grade!

When and where?

2020 Virtual Fall Super Saturday will take place October 10^th and 17^th, 2020. Saturday sessions start 9 a.m. and the end time varies for the different grade levels (PreK-Gr.2 end at 1 pm, Gr.3-Gr.12 end at 3pm).

All the classes will be held through Zoom.

Payment and refunds

Checks should be made payable to Purdue University. Tuition may also be charged to Discover, VISA, American Express or MasterCard.
You will receive a confirmation notice after all application materials are received. If you do not receive notice at least three days prior to the first class, please call our office to check class assignment and location. If any classes are canceled due to insufficient enrollment, students will be contacted. Purdue is not responsible for costs due to cancellation.

Parking

The University Street Parking Garage has parking spaces available that are free to the public on the weekends. A tunnel connects the garage to Beering Hall at the basement level. This is convenient for those with younger children or strollers.
